Tourism Assistant & Travel Consultant

The intern must facilitate an outstanding visitor experience and to
give excellent service to all our clients by assisting the Tourism
Manager in co-ordinating the Tourism Department in order to increase
sales. The role will include the following tasks:

• Booking Office
• Administration
• Packages/Conference Experiences & Corporate Retreats
• Liason with operators and industry partners,  international students at various institutions.

8 weeks June/July

Primarily the work would be on the Handbook (runs May- July, and busiest
in July) Research and organising type tasks with some proofing work
(supervised - but he/she would need to be able to spell and know where
apostrophes go!) and if they could do more, or wanted to learn more,
things such as improving the PowerPoint presentations we use for media
training and maybe trying their hand at some magazine writing, that
would be a bonus.

Would suit someone who is perhaps thinking of a career in journalism,
publishing, public relations or similar.
